Denied Pug # 2

Julie,

Upon speaking with Mark at the leasing company, he stated that you need to contact him about bringing another animal into the household and there you will need to negotiate a pet deposit and increase in rent. So please get a hold of him and once the pet agreement form has been settled, fax it over to us at 910-743-0817.

Safe Harbor Farm

So upon receiving this email message we've decided to wait on a 2nd pug addition. :(

Update of Mr. Wrinkles

Mr. Wrinkles was adopted by another family.  He is no longer for adoption on the Mid-Atlantic Pug Rescue.  Yeah for Mr. Wrinkles but sad for us.  No new brother for me.  So we did some more researching and found Chu Chu Pug.  He is now at the Safe Harbor Farm in Maysville, NC.
We aren't sure how old he is but mommy and me put in an application.  Waiting to hopefully hear back soon about the new addition.  Until then I will be the only pug representing at the dog park.  PUG POWER!

One of many pug adventures

I have many fond memories of great adventures with my mommy and my friends.  This was my first sight of snow and a neighborhood beer run.

Look at me!  I was so small I fit on the beer wagon in between the Corona, Yuengling and Coors.  Notice they are all bigger than I am as I was only 10 weeks old.
This is one of my first pictures with my friend Bella.  She's way bigger than I was and I think she growled at me.

Mr. Wrinkles

So my mommy and I have been looking for a brother or a sister for me to play with for a while so we contacted the breeders from where I came from.  Unfortunately they don't breed pugs anymore and have been looking at rescuing a pug.  My mom put in an application with the Mid-Atlantic Pug Rescue instead and we looked at many different pugs.  Some young and some old and a few with health problems.  Both of us agreed on Mr. Wrinkles.  We don't know much about him except that he's approx 4 years old, a lap dog and loves to sleep in the bed and snuggle.

Here is is profile picture and yes he has lots of wrinkles. I hope he likes snacks like me.  We still have yet to hear from the Mid-Atlantic Pug Rescue but I know they have contacted our references so make sure I'm a well behaved pug and can be friendly to another pug.

Ocracoke Island - March 2011

My friends Bella and Jake invited me and my owner for a few days to the Outer Banks on Ocracoke Island.  It was a long 7 hour drive as I was stuffed on top of suit cases, blankets and coolers full of beer and food but the trip was worth it.

The first day I ran up and down the beach until my heart was content.  I loved the salty wind blowing in my face.  I stayed away from the waves and created circles in the sand.

I even got my own room at Sandy Paws Bed & Biscuit Inn for four legged doggies like me.

The first day my owner slept in and one of the other owners came and walked me.  I pretended like I did not want to go on a walk and dragged my feet until they picked me up and carried me back to the kennel.  After breakfast I enjoyed playing on the beach, I even went in the water (not by choice).

The next day, I took my first boat ride to remote island called Portsmouth.  I love running free without a leash.  The wind and sand was blowing feriously and we hiked 2 miles along the beach and another mile through desert and marshy areas to the abandoned village.  I hates going through the marsh as I didn't want my feet wet.  In the marsh lands Jake and Bella got in a fight with a local raccoon.  Luckily know one was hurt except for maybe the the raccoon.  Usually Jake is tough and barks real loud but this time the raccoon was on Jake's back.  Jake's owner had to punch the raccoon in the head to get it off of Jake's back.  I watched the raccoon limp away and then I was put back on my leash in case any other island creatures were roaming around.

This trip was awesome and can’t wait to go to the beach again.  Bella (left), me in the middle and Jake on the right.

Morehead Beach Trip - April 17, 2011

Yeah!  Another beach trip!  My owner and I were invited to Morehead Beach for the weekend.  This time was a quick 4 hour car ride.

I walked up and down the water and even got my feet wet on my own this time.  I had to keep my leash on this time though as there were a lot of people enjoying the sun and waves.

A tornado touched down 10 miles from where we were staying and it started to thunder and lightning in the evening.  We lost power for a while and I survived my first tornado.  I slept through most of it and barked at the lightning.

The life of a beach bum is for me.

Movie Night on One Park Vista Lawn - April 10, 2011

My owner and I packed a picnic for a free screening of “Best in Show” as part of the RiverRun International Film Festival which comes to town every year.  Ruff Housing, a local doggie daycare and Petco sponsored the event.  They provided a photo booth where dogs and owners can take pictures of together and gave free toys to all the dogs.  Please excuse the x-rated picture at the bottom.  I wasn’t try to expose myself my owner thought we were done but we still had 1 more picture to take.

Jake, Bella and their owners joined for the movie.  Bella was in a grumpy mood because she missed the photo booth and snarled at me.  I shared my toy with Jake.
I hope they have this even again next year!
